Description
As an Installation Technician, you'll transform businesses by
installing advanced low-voltage commercial audio, video, and
lighting systems. Working on local and nationwide projects, you'll
be responsible for bringing designs to life with precision and
expertise. From LED/LCD video walls and touch panels to speakers,
racks, patch bays, and mixing consoles, you'll ensure each system
is installed, configured, and optimized to deliver exceptional
performance. Your technical skills and attention to detail will
create seamless, reliable installations that elevate experiences
and exceed client expectations.
What You'll Do:
Install, configure, and troubleshoot audio, video, and lighting
systems, including LED/LCD video walls, touch panels, and
speakers.
Pull and terminate cables and connectors (XLR, RJ45, TRS, BNC, and
F-CONN), harness racks, patch bays, and mixing consoles.
Work collaboratively on job sites, adhering to safety protocols and
company standards.
Travel extensively (50-75%) to installation locations, including
overnight trips.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to
installations and projects.
Participate in training to obtain certifications (e.g., DOT, OSHA
10) and further develop skills.
What We're Looking For:
Skills and Experience
High integrity, self-motivation, and attention to detail.
Strong organizational skills and a meticulous approach to
installations.
Experience in AV, telecommunications, construction, or a related
field.
Proficiency with basic hand and power tools.
Ability to solder and crimp connectors.
Requirements
Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Comfortable working in a construction environment (wearing PPE,
handling dusty or unclean workspaces, and managing lack of climate
control).
Current OSHA 10 certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements The combination of physical and mental
requirements is necessary for completing the responsibilities,
essential functions, and meeting the demands of the role. The
employee must have the ability to lift and move objects weighing up
to 50 pounds, climb ladders up to 20 feet tall, and work in extreme
weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures. They may
also be required to work in dusty or unclean environments, confined
spaces, and on uneven surfaces. Safety is paramount, necessitating
effective communication with colleagues and constant alertness to
surroundings. The employee will be frequently required to stand,
walk, reach, climb, and perform tasks that involve stooping,
kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Additionally, the job may require
long hours, night shifts, weekend work, and holiday commitments,
including extensive travel for weeks at a time. The employee must
be able to apply established protocols in a timely manner to meet
deadlines and effectively communicate to successfully perform all
required responsibilities.
